Franklin Battlefield

In 2005 we were asked to provide our services for a new tower in Franklin, TN. The location, while zoned industrial, was extremeley difficult because it was inside the area of an important Civil War battle. In fact, most of the town of Franklin is land which men fought and died on. The groups involved in preserving and restoring Civil War battlefields had to approve our location and design, and since they are typically under-funded, it fell on us to provide the research showing the location was not specifically important.

After weeks and even months of meetings, research, surveys, maps, photos, and historical documentation (which was in fact fascinating), we did finally receive approval. This site was a very unusual and also extremely rewarding.
