When our customer initially approached the Village of Hinsdale to install a cell site on one of their water towers, they were skeptical at best. The water department had many concerns and expressed some very difficult requirements for our installation.

Forge stayed in contact with the water department throughout the design process and a 4-carrier design was completed to their satisfaction. Equipment rooms, two with generator space, were completed for Sprint, US Cellular, AT&T, and Verizon. The building was designed to maximize concealment of the coax cable from the shelter to the water tower. This was accomplished by creating a building layout with two coves to conceal HVAC units and coax entry ports, an underground trench system with drainage, and three ladders up the water tower with covers. The utilities included easements for NG providing service for the generators and relocating existing power lines underground.

The entire project was completed and turned out absolutely beautiful.
